Sage say it is designed for businesses with a turnover between £1m and £20m (we think it is about the value your customers place upon good information and service). Each department accesses the information they need from a shared source, eliminating duplicate records and creating an environment for clear processes – resulting in a better use of time and minimising the risk of errors arising between departments.

The core system rests on three components:

  • Sage 200 Financials - to manage your accounting processes
  • Sage 200 CRM - for your sales, marketing, service and support teams
  • Sage 200 Integration Manager – synchronises the system’s components

You then choose which additional features you will use:

  • Sage 200 Commercials - to improve your sales and purchase order processing, pricing, stock management, and distribution
  • Sage 200 Project Accounting - for better project costing, billing and analysis. An additional option is Sage Web Time & Expenses which enables remote entry of time and expenses
  • Sage 200 Bill of Materials - for a robust process when assembling finished goods

Sage has also developed these industry specific add-ons:

  • Sage 200 Construction - manages the processes specifically required by the Construction industry, from estimates through to final billing
  • Sage 200 Wholesale and Retail - a merchandise management system for wholesalers, retailers and trade counter businesses
  • Sage 200 Manufacturing - to manage the manufacturing processes more smoothly

For smaller operations, Sage 50 Suite offers an alternative solution, offering an equivalent mix of features for fewer users.
